About the position

As part of the Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) Sales Operations team at Edwards Lifesciences, the Senior Manager, Sales Operations (Case Planning) plays a crucial role in supporting the national field sales team and the broader TMTT organization. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the case scheduling process is developed, launched, and managed effectively to optimize resource utilization and meet patient demand. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including hospital staff, territory managers, field clinical specialists, and clinical affairs, to coordinate and allocate resources efficiently. The Senior Manager will be responsible for delivering regular Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the business, which includes creating dashboards, reports, and analyses that provide deep insights into case scheduling. This data-driven approach will facilitate better business planning and management decision-making. Additionally, the role involves the development and governance of the case planning tool, which is essential for the efficient allocation of field resources. The Senior Manager will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the case scheduling team and act as a point person for training on the scheduling process, ensuring that all team members are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively. This position is based at Edwards Lifesciences Global Corporate Campus in Irvine, California, and is integral to the company's mission of addressing unmet clinical needs in patients with mitral and tricuspid heart valve disease. Responsibilities

  • Support the national field sales team and the broader TMTT organization.
  • Lead the development, launch, and management of the case scheduling process.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources to support patients in collaboration with hospital staff and other stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on the new product launch process for case scheduling and resource optimization.
  • Deliver regular KPIs for the business, including dashboards, reports, and analyses for better business planning.
  • Develop and govern the case planning tool for efficient allocation of field resources.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the case scheduling team.
  • Act as a point person and provide training on the scheduling process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required; MBA or Master's Degree may offset some required experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in relevant sales operations or project management in the medical device or healthcare industry.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly in written and presentation formats.
  • Professional record of project management using lean principles or resource allocation.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Excel or relative analytics tools.
  • Moderate to advanced hands-on use of data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) to develop dashboards.
  • Experience in resource allocation or project management software such as Monday.com, Trello, or Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational skills.
