About the position

As the Senior Manager of Sales Operations at GXO Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the sales process. This position is crucial for ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the organizational goals of a rapidly growing global company. You will be responsible for analyzing sales data, implementing strategic sales initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and enhance overall sales performance. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the sales operations framework that supports the company's objectives and market conditions. In this role, you will prepare and present regular reports, dashboards, and presentations on sales performance, key metrics, and initiatives to senior management and stakeholders. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's objectives. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, generating insights that inform strategic decisions and drive performance improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline analysis. Working closely with sales teams, you will establish realistic sales targets and quotas. Cross-functional collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you partner with other departments such as marketing, finance, and product development to ensure alignment and optimize the end-to-end customer experience. Your ability to influence and manage teams will be essential in driving the success of the sales operations function at GXO Logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present regular reports, dashboards, and presentations on sales performance, key metrics, and initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's objectives and market conditions.
  • Analyze sales data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, generating insights to inform strategic decisions and drive performance improvements.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales pipeline analysis, working closely with sales teams to establish realistic sales targets and quotas.
  • Partner with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and product development, to ensure alignment and collaboration across functions and optimize the end-to-end customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Marketing or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 5 years of direct experience in sales support or equivalent experience, with a preference for experience selling B2B solutions and/or managing B2B sales teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics and generate actionable insights.
  • Lead development and tracking of sales metrics and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of sales enablement technologies (CRM tools), processes and best practices.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and managing teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated; highly driven to produce results.
