The Senior Manager Sales Operations at Ryder System is a pivotal role that provides leadership and specialized expertise in the administration of sales systems. In collaboration with senior leadership, including the SVP, VPs, and Group Directors, the Senior Manager is responsible for the development of key initiatives, measuring and reporting on performance, and providing strategic advice and direction to sales leadership. The role requires a deep understanding of sales system architecture and the ability to interact with senior business management to understand their decision-making information needs. The Senior Manager will also manage relationships with consultants to translate these needs into actionable system capabilities, ensuring that the sales operations are aligned with the overall business strategy. The position demands a proactive approach to sales reporting, supporting the design and execution of key growth initiatives, coordinating monthly sales reporting for various stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance on revenue-generating activities based on sales data. Additionally, the Senior Manager will facilitate performance reviews with metrics and tracking, manage the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) process, and support the annual budgeting process. This role is crucial in operating as a key liaison to all other sales channels and Ryder functional areas, managing account and territory processes, and evaluating automation tools to enhance revenue generation and retention activities.
