About the position

The Senior Manager Sales Operations plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the administration of sales systems within the organization. This position is tasked with overseeing financial reporting on all sales data for designated business segments and providing strategic consultation for initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth for customers. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing a comprehensive data strategy, creating a roadmap for sales system administration, and leading the planning, design, and implementation of various components and integrations that support the sales system architecture. In terms of sales system administration, the Senior Manager will ensure data integrity and manage workflows and processes while mitigating technical risks. This role requires interaction with senior business management to understand their information needs for decision-making and managing relationships with consultants to translate those needs into actionable system capabilities. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for establishing standards, processes, methodologies, and governance for data integration and services, demonstrating thought leadership across multiple domains of data. The position also encompasses sales reporting responsibilities, including the design and execution of key growth initiatives, coordinating monthly sales reporting for various stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance on revenue-generating activities based on sales data. The Senior Manager will facilitate performance reviews, manage the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) process, and support the annual budgeting process. Additionally, the role involves acting as a key liaison to other sales channels and functional areas within Ryder, managing account and territory processes, and evaluating automation tools to enhance revenue generation and retention activities. Training and developing direct reports is also a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain overall architecture strategy for sales systems and data integrity.
  • Interact with senior management to understand their decision-making information needs.
  • Create original concepts to fit business needs into system capabilities.
  • Establish standards, processes, methodologies, and governance for data integration.
  • Provide technology direction and establish governing standards for data quality.
  • Support the design and execution of key growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate monthly sales reporting for various stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance on revenue-generating activities based on sales data.
  • Facilitate performance reviews with metrics and tracking.
  • Manage the CAC process with Docusign integration for reporting and compliance.
  • Operate as a key liaison to all other sales channels and functional areas.
  • Support monthly forecasting and annual projections.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automation tools for revenue generation.
  • Train and develop direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, computer science, engineering, or a relevant field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Five (5) years or more in Sales Operations or a similar role required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing others or leading teams required.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Micro Strategy, Tableau) - advanced required.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database queries - intermediate required.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Excel for data manipulation - advanced required.
  • Knowledge and experience with customer databases, data warehousing, and sales automation systems - intermediate preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with process redesign - intermediate required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com reports and dashboards - intermediate required.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce back office functionality - advanced required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience presenting to executives (preferred).
  • Knowledge of customer databases and data warehousing systems.

Benefits

  • Salary range from $110,000 to $125,000, supplemented with a bonus as applicable.
  • Salary determined based on internal equity, market data, and applicant's skills and experience.
