The role involves overseeing the sales system administration, which includes developing a data strategy, creating a roadmap, and leading the planning, design, and implementation of system components and integrations. The Senior Manager will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that the sales system architecture aligns with strategic objectives and initiatives. In terms of sales system administration, the Senior Manager is tasked with maintaining the overall architecture strategy, ensuring data integrity, and managing workflows and processes. This includes interacting with senior business management to understand their information needs and managing relationships with consultants to translate those needs into actionable system capabilities. The role requires the creation of original concepts to fit business needs into system capabilities, establishing standards and governance for data integration and services, and promoting adherence to guidelines through training and mentoring. The position also encompasses sales reporting responsibilities, where the Senior Manager will coordinate monthly sales reporting for various stakeholders, provide strategic guidance on revenue-generating activities, and support the annual budgeting process. Additionally, the Senior Manager will operate as a key liaison to all sales channels and functional areas within Ryder, manage account and territory processes, and evaluate automation tools to enhance revenue generation and retention activities. Training and developing direct reports is also a critical aspect of this role, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet the demands of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain overall architecture strategy for sales systems and data integrity.
  • Interact with senior management to understand decision-making information needs.
  • Create original concepts to fit business needs into system capabilities.
  • Establish standards, processes, methodologies, and governance for data integration.
  • Provide technology direction and document architecture decisions.
  • Coordinate monthly sales reporting for various stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance on revenue-generating activities based on sales data.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and facilitate performance reviews.
  • Manage account and territory processes and support forecasting and projections.
  • Train and develop direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, computer science, engineering, or a relevant field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA) preferred.
  • Five (5) years or more in Sales Operations or a similar role required.
  • Two (2) years or more managing others or leading teams required.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Micro Strategy, Tableau) required.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database queries required.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel for data manipulation required.
  • Knowledge and experience with customer databases and sales automation systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with process redesign required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com reports and dashboards required.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce back office functionality required.

  • Experience presenting to executives preferred.
  • Knowledge of customer databases and data warehousing preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 per year with potential bonuses based on business conditions.
