About the position

The GTM Readiness Sr. Manager, Instructional Design at Equinix will lead a dedicated team focused on creating effective and engaging global enablement solutions for various stakeholders including sales, channel partners, technical sales, customer success, and revenue operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that enablement spans across products and services, skills, tools, and processes, thereby enhancing the overall performance of the organization. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for scoping, developing, and measuring audience-relevant enablement initiatives, acting both as a manager and a contributor to their own projects. Success in this position relies heavily on the application of instructional design best practices and innovative approaches, alongside a comprehensive understanding of Equinix's business operations, go-to-market strategies, and the competitive landscape. A natural curiosity, a growth mindset, and a passion for continuous learning are essential traits for this role. In this position, the Sr. Manager will lead a team of instructional designers tasked with the design, development, and execution of scalable learning solutions tailored to specific audiences. This includes creating media-rich learning programs, tutorials, job aids, and assessments that drive measurable business impact. The role also involves identifying and implementing innovative enablement processes that enhance learning experiences, moving beyond traditional methods to align with modern learning preferences. The Sr. Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess learning needs and ensure content relevancy, while also facilitating training sessions and fostering a collaborative team culture. Building a high-performing team through active coaching and mentorship will be a key focus, emphasizing the importance of instructional design skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of instructional designers in the scoping, design, development, and execution of scalable learning solutions.
  • Identify and implement innovative enablement processes and learning solutions that enhance learning experiences.
  • Review design documents and final deliverables to ensure optimal engagement and effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs and content relevancy for various roles.
  • Collaborate with other GTM Readiness leaders to align on priorities and instructional design approaches.
  • Drive and enhance instructional design methodologies and identify new authoring practices.
  • Own and execute a portfolio of enablement projects, conducting research and analysis.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for diverse audiences.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Build a high-performing team through active coaching and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading enablement teams such as sales enablement, revenue enablement, or customer enablement.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in or with sales, channel, and/or customer success.
  • Proven success in identifying and implementing new design and authoring tools.
  • Creative and critical thinker with problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and influence perspectives.
  • Proven track record in scoping, building, and executing enablement programs.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and growth-oriented individual.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Highly proficient in Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Canva, with experience in AI design tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
