About the position

The GTM Readiness Sr. Manager, Instructional Design at Equinix is responsible for leading a team that creates effective and engaging global enablement solutions for various stakeholders including sales, channel, technical sales, customer success, and revenue operations. This role focuses on scoping, developing, and measuring audience-relevant enablement while applying instructional design best practices and innovation. The position requires a deep understanding of Equinix's business and market landscape, and it emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of instructional designers in the design, development, and execution of scalable learning solutions.
  • Identify and implement innovative enablement processes and learning solutions.
  • Review design documents and deliverables to ensure optimal learning engagement and effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs and content relevancy.
  • Collaborate with GTM Readiness leaders on priorities and instructional design approaches.
  • Enhance instructional design methodology and identify new design practices and tools.
  • Own and execute a portfolio of enablement projects as an instructional designer.
  • Facilitate training sessions for small and large groups as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Build a high-performing team through active coaching.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading enablement teams such as sales enablement or customer enablement.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in sales, channel, or customer success.
  • Success in identifying and implementing new design and authoring tools.
  • Creative and critical thinker who thrives in ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable concepts.
  • Proven track record of scoping and executing enablement programs.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and growth-oriented.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Canva.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with emerging AI design and authoring tools.
