About the position

As an ETI Senior Manager at Deloitte Tax LLP, you will lead technology-enabled implementations and contribute to the growth of the firm through business development, client management, engagement management, practice development, and people development. This role requires a hands-on approach to technology while managing teams and ensuring quality delivery of services to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients.
  • Organize and lead pursuit teams for business development.
  • Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams.
  • Define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.
  • Direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics and risk.
  • Develop practical solutions and methodologies; create thought leadership documents.
  • Participate in public speaking events and get published in industry periodicals.
  • Act as a counselor and coach; provide input into staffing processes and participate in recruitment activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years' experience in corporate, multistate, indirect, value-added, or transaction tax compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Completion of at least two full lifecycle SAP implementations.
  • Experience with tax technology applications (e.g., OneSource, Vertex, Avalara, Sovos/Taxware, Oracle Enterprise Business Tax).
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on work and clients served.
  • One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, Project Management (PMP), or other technical certifications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree such as MST, JD, or LLM.
  • Experience with a Big 4 firm or large ERP/consulting organization.
  • Experience in ERP system implementation.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills using MS Visio and MS PowerPoint.
