About the position

As a Senior Manager, Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in this mission by leading multiple scrum teams focused on medical device development. Your work will not only impact the lives of our customers but also contribute to the overall success of our organization. You will be part of a collaborative and cross-functional team that values each member's contributions and strives for excellence in delivering high-quality products. In this position, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing program-level deliverables while ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors, manage several scrum masters, and present program status to management. Your strong understanding of Agile development principles will be essential as you coach teams, remove blockers, and facilitate daily scrums and sprint planning sessions. You will also be tasked with assessing competing work demands, building an escalation process for critical issues, and utilizing various metrics to drive project delivery. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. You will be expected to follow the company's governance processes and methodologies while ensuring appropriate business processes, data quality, and systems delivery. Your contributions will help shape the organization's goals and objectives, making this a pivotal role in our mission to enhance the lives of those living with diabetes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and finalize program level deliverables according to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Manage several scrum masters to ensure all teams in the program effectively complete project deliverables.
  • Present program status to management and ensure project deliverables are completed on time.
  • Identify strategic advantages for development to remove blockers and reduce project risk.
  • Coach teams in the scrum master capacity and facilitate daily scrum and sprint planning.
  • Manage the scrum process with the coordination of scrum teams in Agile methodology.
  • Remove impediments for the scrum team and assess priority levels on competing work demands.
  • Build and manage an escalation process for critical issues and manage them to resolution.
  • Utilize backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, and user stories to drive project delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years as a scrum master/project/program manager working in all phases of technical projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent is required.
  • Scrum Master certification is required.
  • Broad application of Scrum / Agile / Kanban principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline.
  • Strong understanding and applied experience with Scrum development principles.
  • Ability to define business processes, data needs, and requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with dispersed, remote, and global teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the Medical Device industry is a plus.
  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Experience with scrum teams.
