About the position

The Senior Manager, Social Media at Estée Lauder Companies is a strategic and creative role responsible for leading the development and execution of the company's corporate social media channels. This position is integral to the Global Communications team, focusing on creating a long-term social media strategy that aligns with the company's core narratives and values. The role involves ideating engaging content, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering connections with key audiences while overseeing a team member responsible for community management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with the company's key messages and business priorities.
  • Create and manage a global content calendar, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align social media efforts with relevant campaigns, announcements, and product launches.
  • Ideate compelling, high-quality content ideas (including copy, visuals, and videos) that resonate with target audiences across channels.
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and analytics to identify opportunities for innovation and growth, and stay ahead of industry changes.
  • Oversee community management strategy to increase engagement with key audiences and expand reach.
  • Analyze performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize content strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record of executing successful campaigns across various platforms.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), their unique features, and best practices for content optimization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and adapt tone to fit different audiences and channels.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using social media analytics tools (e.g., Dash Hudson, Opal, Sprinklr) to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team, foster collaboration, and mentor rising talent.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation in digital and social media.
  • Experience in working with a globally matrixed multi-brand organization preferred.
