About the position

As the Senior Manager of Social Media at PRotein Public Relations, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing innovative social media strategies that align with our clients' business objectives. This position is essential for enhancing brand awareness and fostering engagement with key audiences. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in social media management, content creation, and data-driven strategy. You will be expected to stay on-trend in the social and digital space, keeping your finger on the pulse of the rapidly evolving social/digital ecosystem and the guidelines governing the health industry. Your focus will be on delivering measurable business solutions for clients, ensuring that all social media efforts are effective and compliant with industry regulations. In this role, you will utilize third-party social listening tools to gather data and insights related to disease states, competitors, and industry events. You will be responsible for deriving actionable recommendations from this data and presenting them to clients. Monitoring social conversations and providing strategic recommendations for audience engagement will be key components of your responsibilities. You will compile analytics reports to outline social channel performance and suggest optimizations for future campaigns. Collaboration with the VP of Social and Influence will be essential as you develop social strategy recommendations tailored to client needs. Additionally, you will educate clients on compliance rules and the FDA and FTC regulations that govern social media and influencer efforts in highly regulated industries. Your role will also involve content creation, where you will research and write copy for both client and Calcium+Company social media accounts. You will create compelling visual assets, including graphics and videos, and draft creative briefs for the creative teams. Representing social media at on-site shoots or events for real-time content creation will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will assist in executing a paid influencer roadmap, managing all aspects from ideation to ongoing management. In the realm of paid social, you will create recommendations and strategies, as well as manage partnerships with paid media vendors or agencies. This multifaceted role requires a strategic thinker who can prioritize tasks effectively and work independently while demonstrating initiative and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize third-party social listening tools to compile data and key insights around disease states, companies, competitors, products, and events.
  • Derive recommendations and next steps from data to present to clients.
  • Monitor social conversations and provide recommendations for engaging with audiences.
  • Compile analytics reports outlining social channel performance and recommendations for future optimizations.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Social and Influence to develop social strategy recommendations for clients.
  • Educate clients on compliance rules and FDA and FTC regulations guiding social media and influencer efforts in highly regulated industries.
  • Research and write/advise on copy for client and Calcium+Company social media accounts.
  • Create compelling art assets (graphics and videos) for social media accounts.
  • Draft and present creative briefs to Calcium+Company creative teams (art and copy).
  • Represent social at on-site shoots or events that may require real-time content creation.
  • Assist with the full execution of a paid influencer roadmap, including ideation, identification, contracting, co-creation, launch, and ongoing management.
  • Create paid social media recommendations and strategies.
  • Assist in managing partnerships with paid media vendors or agencies.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • Experience executing and managing social media & influencer campaigns across channels.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, or other relevant software to create and edit social media content.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with an array of deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to be client-facing, and when required, lead client calls and presentations.
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or other highly regulated spaces.
  • Experience executing all aspects of a paid social media campaign, including targeting recommendations, platform selection, ad type selection, placing ads, and optimizing for performance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Applicant must be able to work 40 hours per week during regular ET zone business hours.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically.
