About the position

The Senior Manager of Software Development Engineering at CVS Health is responsible for leading a team focused on the design, coding, testing, and overall software development for Medicare and Individual and Family Plan (IFP) systems. This role requires strong technical and functional skills, as well as leadership capabilities to manage engineers, enhance product quality, and ensure operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose system issues to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Utilize industry-standard tools and methodologies to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with corporate officials, colleagues, and clients.
• Prioritize, delegate, and supervise engineers' activities and deliverables.
• Manage, support, and evaluate engineers' performance.
• Hire new talent and provide coaching and development opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in product engineering leadership roles.
• 5+ years of experience working in IT projects using Agile development methodology.
• 3+ years' experience working on multiple IT projects across varying technology stacks, particularly with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• 3+ years' experience in modern programming languages and cloud-based technologies.
