About the position

The Senior Manager, Salesforce Application Development is responsible for leading an engineering team to manage the analysis, architecture, design, implementation, and support of the Salesforce platform. This remote position requires deep business and Salesforce product knowledge to ensure the success of the organization through effective team management and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of the engineering team.
• Mentor and coach engineers to develop them into technical leaders.
• Lead a highly experienced and self-managed team.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.
• Provide thought and solution leadership for Salesforce Application Development.
• Assemble application delivery teams for project execution.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical feedback.
• Ensure dependencies on other systems are identified and managed.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture to set technical strategy and build roadmaps.
• Contribute to IT Strategic Planning process for the CRM Engineering portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Business with an emphasis in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of experience in programming, engineering, or technical roles within a software development environment.
• 6 years in a leadership role within an Information Technology Department.
• 6 years of direct people management experience.
• Knowledge of multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Health, Non-Profit, etc.).
• Experience with Salesforce development and integration patterns, data migration practices, and governor limits.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
