About the position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering at SoFi will lead the SoFi Money team in a collaborative environment, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to deployment. This role focuses on transforming the banking core and enhancing member-facing banking services, aiming to deliver exceptional user experiences and support SoFi's mission in the fintech space.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or multiple development teams through the full development life cycle
• Challenge the status quo and foster innovation
• Build the banking platform of the future
• Grow the team by defining hiring needs and assessing candidates
• Define individual growth plans for team members
• Hold the team accountable for delivery
• Shape and support team culture with an emphasis on continual improvement
• Generate ideas for new initiatives

• Facilitate the definition of project scope, deliverables, and goals

Requirements

• BS Degree or equivalent from a fully accredited college or university preferred
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable, mission-critical systems
• 4+ years of experience managing teams
• Experience hiring, training, motivating, monitoring, and coaching team members
• Willingness to collaborate and get things done
• Strong sense of responsibility; driving initiatives from inception to completion
• Ability to hold others accountable
• Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies
• A desire to learn
