About the position

As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Data Ventures, you will lead a team of over 10 engineers focused on Core Services and Platform engineering. Your role involves delivering essential capabilities across Data Ventures products, fostering a collaborative environment, and engaging with leadership across various locations to set strategic priorities. You will also be responsible for talent development, technical guidance, and ensuring adherence to company values and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Core Services engineering team.
• Engage with the team on technical matters, including design and architecture.
• Define a long-term talent development strategy across technology roles.
• Collaborate with leadership in multiple locations to establish strategy and priorities for platform maintenance.
• Oversee delivery of features for global data engineering and platform.
• Create a collaborative environment for delivering services to customers globally.
• Promote and support company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics.
• Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in building scalable systems.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing a team of 10+ engineers.
• Strong understanding of Java and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Java, SpringBoot, Cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS), Kafka, and relational DBMS.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins.
• Demonstrated ownership of cloud-based projects and data pipelines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
