About the position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack at CoBank, ACB is responsible for leading a passionate team focused on building products with automation on AWS and on-premises, utilizing emerging technologies. This role involves overseeing the development of foundational Single Page Applications (SPA) and Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture, managing application development, and ensuring compliance with CoBank's policies. The manager will collaborate with Agile teams to deliver technical solutions and will be instrumental in strategic planning and capacity management within a complex IT infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a cross-functional team of employees and contractors in software engineering.
• Create and execute strategic roadmaps for application development and support models.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Project Management Office to align technology with business goals.
• Develop and enforce compliance with CoBank's application development standards and policies.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the technology team and oversee issue resolution.
• Establish policies and procedures to ensure a consistent operating environment.
• Communicate regularly with leadership regarding project status and issues.
• Create and manage the annual operating budget for IT.
• Develop and maintain strategic vendor relationships and evaluate service levels.

Requirements

• Master's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Eight (8) years of software engineering or software development experience.
• Proficiency in Vue, React, Java, Spring, HTML/CSS, Node.js, SQL, Python, Open Source databases, Docker, Kubernetes, Ping Identity, Okta, IBM IAM, AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure.
