We are looking for a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to support our Partnerships Platform and API Core teams. In this role, we seek someone excited to support a dynamic, high-performing team of engineers. This leader will help drive the technical strategy of platform teams whose work has broad impact across Mailchimp's data ingestion capabilities. The ideal candidate will help define quality and excellence across a technically complex space. The Senior Manager will enjoy defining processes and operations across a wide customer base utilizing the same tools and data. A strong understanding of Cloud Data Infrastructure (GCP/AWS) is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to distill and convey complex ideas to audiences with varying levels of technical depth. Experience working with cross-functional teams and a desire to work in a highly collaborative environment are also key attributes for this role. The successful candidate will actively contribute to requirement definition, roadmap planning, and team-level office hours.

  • Continually prioritize and assess the value proposition for each deliverable we're investing in.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers working with a wide number of stakeholders and collaborators.
  • Foster candid conversations around processes and ways of doing work.
  • Encourage a mindset of 'Find a way' through cross-functional collaboration, technology challenges, and navigating new patterns.

Requirements
