About the position

As a member of our SWFW (Cloud NGFW/Virtualization) team at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a crucial role in driving and delivering our next-generation virtualization products and cloud security offerings. This position involves leading and expanding a high-performing QA Engineering team responsible for Cloud NGFW, Public Cloud Integration, and SWFW in general. You will define and drive the execution plan for quality delivery, ensuring that quality assurance is integrated throughout the entire lifecycle of the SWFW (Cloud NGFW & VM/CN) product development. Your responsibilities will include providing thorough technical leadership in areas such as Cloud-Based Orchestration, Cloud-delivered Security as a Service, Cloud Networking, and Automation Design. You will operate with an automation-first mindset, driving innovation in test design, automation, and framework development to achieve high-quality outcomes. Additionally, you will enhance test strategies, automation, and build infrastructure to deliver a high-quality product or cloud service that meets enterprise standards and expectations. Collaboration is key in this role; you will partner closely with Product Management to identify and drive customer outcomes and work with Cloud Technology vendors to define strategic outcomes for NextGen products. You will also manage highly visible projects effectively across multiple geographic locations, creating best practices and metrics that will drive success for the team. This position requires a deep understanding of software QA in cybersecurity, networking, and cloud technologies, along with a strong leadership style focused on building relationships and establishing trust with diverse colleagues and stakeholders. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects while maintaining an elevated sense of ownership and focus on driving business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand a high performing QA Engineering team responsible for Cloud NGFW, Public Cloud Integration & SWFW.
• Define and drive the execution plan for quality delivery.
• Provide thorough technical leadership in Cloud Based Orchestration, Cloud delivered Security as Service, Cloud Networking and Automation Design.
• Operate with an automation-first mindset and drive innovation in test design, automation and framework.
• Participate in system design to ensure Quality Assurance is considered throughout the entire lifecycle of the SWFW product development.
• Develop and/or enhance automated test infrastructure to enable scalable and flexible tests that reflect real-world network deployment scenarios.
• Enhance test strategies, automation & build infrastructure to deliver a high-quality product/cloud service to meet enterprise standards and expectations.
• Partner closely with Product Management to help identify and drive customer outcomes.
• Collaborate with Cloud Technology vendors in defining strategic outcomes for NextGen products.
• Manage highly visible projects effectively across multiple geographic locations.
• Create best practices and metrics that will drive success for the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software QA experience in Cybersecurity, Networking and Cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of experience building and leading teams of SDETs working on Enterprise class Cloud delivered Network or Security Services, Infrastructure products across geographies.
• Experience in end to end qualification and delivery of Network/Cloud SaaS through CI-CD across various cloud providers.
• Hands-on experience in cloud orchestration and networking in AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI would be a plus.
• Experience/Expertise with designing and implementing automation frameworks for microservices based applications or Network Security solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
