About the position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering, RandD, SCOPE at Manhattan Associates, Inc. is responsible for overseeing multiple cross-functional teams involved in software application development for enhancements and new products. This role includes managing personnel, resolving team issues, and ensuring project completion within budget and schedule. The manager will also be involved in personnel selection, development, and evaluation, as well as overseeing the development of design requirements for systems or databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple cross-functional teams of software engineers, quality assurance engineers, and business analysts.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel, including conducting annual reviews.
• Resolve team issues and oversee subordinates' work.
• Review analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modifications to products.
• Manage personnel and staffing budget analysis and labor planning.
• Coordinate activities of company personnel to ensure project completion.
• Monitor employee contributions to ensure products are on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee the development of design requirements for systems or databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7 years of experience in software application development, support, or implementation.
• 7 years of experience developing with C++ or Java (or 7 years with both JavaScript and HTML).
• Experience working in Linux or UNIX operating systems for 7 years.
• 5 years of experience utilizing WebSphere, Jboss, or WebLogic application servers.
• 3 years of experience developing with Oracle or DB2 databases.
• 2 years of experience developing with Spring, JEE, JSP, or JSF frameworks.
• Experience leading small teams in software design and development.
