About the position
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering for Robot Control System Routing at Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics is responsible for leading a team that develops software for robotic systems. Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of reactive microservices in Java for managing customer orders and controlling robots.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and embedded teams to define software requirements.
- Ensure software produced is scalable and maintainable.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a team-based work environment.
- Establish performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations.
Requirements
- Experience managing a team developing software for robotics or automation systems.
- Understanding of reactive microservices and event-driven distributed systems.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Demonstrated success in agile environments and iterative development.
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
