About the position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Salesforce Integration) at Slack is responsible for leading the Salesforce Integrations engineering team, focusing on innovative solutions that enhance sales productivity through first-party integrations with the Salesforce platform. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend and backend engineers, fostering their career development and facilitating discussions around project deliveries and process improvements.
• Use data to make decisions about prioritization and impact.
• Mentor and coach engineers to develop them into technical leaders.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing teams to conceive features that enhance user experience.
• Build roadmaps and long-term team vision in partnership with the Product team.
• Drive project execution and ensure accountability for deliverables.
• Define and fulfill the engineering hiring plan, including screening and interviewing candidates.
• Anticipate future technical needs and develop plans to address them.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders on priorities, processes, and policies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading productive, high-functioning teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• Ability to make rapid decisions in a multifaceted and quickly-growing environment.
• Technical experience to discuss architecture and product decisions with engineers.
• Proven history of shipping products with consistent execution.
• Highly organized and able to thrive in rapid-paced environments.
• Comfortable with performance conversations and understanding the link between feedback and career growth.
