About the position

As a Senior Manager in the Vehicle Applications & Services Team at General Motors, you will oversee the design, development, and testing of automotive infotainment application software. This hybrid role requires collaboration with local teams in Detroit and overseas partners in India, ensuring timely release of quality software products. You will lead strategic action plans to support business goals while embracing agile software development practices to enhance team capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage local teams in Detroit and overseas partners in India for automotive infotainment application software development.
• Define a culture, product vision, and roadmap for the team.
• Collaborate with a major partner in India to achieve project goals on time.
• Develop a plan to reduce investment in India while maintaining successful relationships and investing in new technologies.
• Build relationships with key internal leads at Google.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams developing user-interface software using C++.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with Altia or Qt application development.
• Leadership experience in developing and testing automotive infotainment applications for radios and instrument panel clusters.
• Experience with Automotive Embedded Systems and deploying applications to embedded target systems.
• Leadership experience with ASIL A-D safety compliance.
• High level of understanding of the Vehicle Development Process.
