About the position

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for leading and innovating within the software engineering team. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of ADT's products through high-quality software solutions. The position requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to process improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole life cycle of services, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and technical vision.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Promote a culture of secure software development.
• Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Recruit, build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing engineering teams.
• Strong technical expertise in object-oriented programming languages such as Java.
• Experience in low-level or functional programming languages is a plus.
• Extensive experience building cloud-native services, preferably on GCP.
