As a Sr. Manager Application Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the ownership, development, delivery, and support of our application value streams. Your role will involve consulting with management to analyze both short- and long-term business requirements, recommending innovative solutions that align with our strategic goals. You will leverage data-driven decision-making tools to support your initiatives and will be tasked with identifying and removing blockers that prevent your team from achieving its goals. As a leader, you will manage the software development lifecycle from initial concept through continuous improvement, ensuring that your team adheres to best practices in development, including paired programming, test-driven development, and CI/CD automation. Your influence will extend beyond your immediate team as you guide and challenge design processes, ensuring that the architecture and design of our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In this role, you will also stay abreast of the latest industry trends in infrastructure, security, and DevOps, applying this knowledge to enhance our products and processes. You will be a thought leader in risk, compliance, quality, and security, influencing the strategic direction of your teams and across Discover. Your ability to articulate the product's vision and goals will be crucial in guiding your teams to work autonomously and deliver impactful outcomes.
