About the position

The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance will lead a team of Principal Analysts within the Finance Governance & Analytics team at PG&E. This role focuses on providing financial analysis and data-driven recommendations for employee benefits and general negotiations, while also driving strategic decisions related to enterprise value delivery and spend allocations. The position requires collaboration with various leaders across the enterprise to achieve business goals and improve processes, ensuring effective financial stewardship and adherence to industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders across the enterprise to drive high performance and execute business goals and priorities.
  • Lead a team of high-performing Principal Analysts, focusing on continuous improvement and skills development.
  • Leverage business knowledge to analyze risks and implementation costs for Benefits Coworkers Love and General Negotiations.
  • Provide expert financial advice and policy interpretation on all levels of economic activity within the enterprise and its programs.
  • Strategically partner with Regulatory and Legal as a Finance Partner for spend allocations related to ongoing CPUC decisions.
  • Drive positive change in the Value Delivery space.
  • Work closely with peer managers and other departments on assessing value-creating improvements, including complex analysis and modeling.
  • Conduct process improvements, including root cause analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or Finance; or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years' experience leading and developing teams.
  • 4 years of analytical experience such as financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, or relevant work experience.

  • Successful track record of working collaboratively with and leading teams.
  • Ability to execute tactically as well as depict the whole idea/analysis strategically for Leadership teams.
  • Comfort interfacing with higher levels of the organization when communicating results and making recommendations.
  • Understanding of utility accounting fundamentals and the PG&E cost model.
  • Ability to synthesize research and develop implications for various stakeholders.
  • Strong experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of SAP R3, SAP BW.
  • MBA, CPA and/or CFA, or Data Science education.
