About the position

The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance (FP&A) at Signet Jewelers will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Director of FP&A by driving R2Net's strategic and financial vision. This position involves business partnering with various support teams, planning for the future, and providing valuable insights to enhance strategic decision-making. The role is integral in increasing shareholder value by setting and achieving challenging financial and non-financial targets within a robust financial framework.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Director of FP&A with overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of financial performance.
  • Lead the consolidation of the strategic storyline and total business performance reporting.
  • Provide and manage CAPEX planning with key C-suite members.
  • Lead the development of key business performance reports and respective governance processes.
  • Act as key business partner to Human Resources, Finance, IT, and Product.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance over transformation strategies.
  • Support C-suite with strategic priorities and governance tracking.
  • Drive governance and process around Annual Planning, integrating driver-based insights.
  • Develop Tableau financial reports, providing additional insights and driving actions from analysis.
  • Facilitate ad-hoc and cross-functional strategic and operational projects.
  • Analyze financial performance vs. plans and forecasts, offering insights on performance gaps.
  • Conduct market share and trends analysis, performing competitive market analysis.
  • Develop competitive financial modeling capabilities.
  • Improve financial models, processes, and reporting for new planning requirements.
  • Oversee Support functions budgets, monitoring actual costs vs. forecasts and providing early warnings on deviations.
  • Provide support and leadership in ongoing strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Create and drive cost efficiency analysis and execution, reporting on savings initiatives.
  • Build presentations for key stakeholders, covering performance deep dives.
  • Advance data transformation initiatives, including data management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred (MS/MBA a plus).
  • 3-6 years of experience in external audit, advisory, consulting, or Investment Banking with analytic experience.
  • Experience with information systems and related tools for data management.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience working with large datasets is essential.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of SQL/Python is a plus.
  • Other languages are a plus.
  • Experience in Big 4/Consulting/Investment Banking.
