About the position

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Americas at Kalmar is responsible for leading the spare parts supply chain in the Americas region. This role focuses on ensuring effective demand and material planning, inventory management, warehouse operations, distribution, and reverse logistics processes. The position requires collaboration across various functions to drive continuous improvement and align supply chain strategies with business objectives, ultimately enhancing operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and initiatives for the spare parts business to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Drive capital management to optimize inventory levels and cash flow while minimizing inventory carrying costs and ensuring spare parts availability
  • Oversee material planning and procurement of spare parts from suppliers, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met
  • Collaborate with service sales teams, customer support, product management, sourcing, finance, and global teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels
  • Measure and improve supplier performance while developing relationships to ensure high levels of service and reliability
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies related to spare parts
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to align supply chain strategies with business objectives
  • Develop and manage financials for spare parts supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the supply chain team for high performance and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably with a focus on spare parts operations, in a global manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Excellent time management skills, self-driven and highly organized
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies and initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Experience working with WMS, TMS, and other supply chain applications
  • Lead Six Sigma certification is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese languages are an advantage

Benefits

  • Base Salary: Starting @ $137- $145,000.00 per year
  • Eligible for Annual Bonus
