About the position

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition (Retail) is responsible for leading a team of Managers and Recruiters to support hiring across various sectors including CEC, MIT, and Employment Centers. This role is pivotal in driving initiatives that align with the long-term Talent Acquisition strategy, ensuring effective staffing solutions and a strong development culture within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Managers and Recruiters to support hiring needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build a talent pipeline across CarMax stores and CECs.
  • Provide regular business metrics and reporting on staffing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Meet with clients to understand their business strategies and prioritize sourcing and recruiting workloads.
  • Ensure timely updates to clients and assist recruiters in overcoming obstacles in talent acquisition.
  • Identify process improvements and drive solutions to completion with peer and leadership buy-in.
  • Collaborate with other teams to enhance processes and candidate experiences.
  • Lead and hold direct reports accountable for meeting hiring goals and maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Engage in the development of the team through feedback, development plans, and learning opportunities.
  • Oversee hiring for other talent acquisition initiatives and projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years management level experience required.
  • At least 5 years of Talent Acquisition experience, directly leading a team of recruiters or owning hiring.
  • Retail talent acquisition experience preferred.
  • Experience in building a new function/team from the ground up or leading cross-functional projects required.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large teams or managing multiple stakeholders' business needs required.
  • Proven success in associate development and courageous leadership.
