About the position

The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at Freeport-McMoRan is responsible for shaping the company's workforce by overseeing the talent acquisition strategy for North America. This strategic leadership role involves managing the recruitment process, leading a team, and directing the College Talent Acquisition area. The position focuses on attracting top talent, fostering inclusion and diversity, enhancing the recruitment brand, and implementing data-driven decision-making practices within the Talent Acquisition function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for North America.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talent acquisition professionals.
  • Direct the College Talent Acquisition area, overseeing the recruitment of interns and new graduates.
  • Drive the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent.
  • Oversee and enhance technology within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to enhance the recruiting brand.
  • Utilize analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition initiatives.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives within the talent acquisition process.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders to understand their talent acquisition needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or HR-related discipline and ten (10) years' experience in Talent Acquisition or HR related field including some management experience.
  • OR Associates degree and twelve (12) years' experience in Talent Acquisition or HR related field including some management experience.
  • OR High School diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years' experience in Talent Acquisition or HR related field including some management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Seven (7) years' experience in Talent Acquisition within a mining company or industrial facility.
  • Strong background utilizing SuccessFactors and other Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Essential Excel skills for data organization, analysis, and presentation.
  • Competent PowerPoint skills to present to various areas of the organization.
  • Proven high-performer in dynamic environments, adept at managing multiple high-priority tasks.
  • Adept at fostering the growth and development of team members through training initiatives.
  • Presentation/public speaking skills and experience.
