About the position
The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition at Smurfit WestRock is responsible for leading high-volume hourly recruiting across various business functions, including Consumer Packaging, Container Packaging, and Mill Operations. This role involves developing and implementing recruitment strategies to support the company's growth, acting as a strategic business partner, and innovating recruitment processes to enhance candidate and client experiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to provide strategic support for business growth through workforce planning and sourcing strategies.
- Advise on employment market trends and talent availability in identified markets.
- Innovate recruitment strategies using social media, job boards, and team member engagement.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies focusing on speed, quality, diversity, and candidate experience.
- Brand WestRock effectively to candidates by communicating the company's strategy and employment value proposition.
- Manage the interview and selection process to create a positive client experience.
- Facilitate sharing of regional knowledge and awareness of positions with global teammates.
- Analyze recruiting data and performance metrics to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree in business, HR, or related field
- 10+ years of Corporate Recruiting or Agency experience
- Proven experience with diverse recruiting strategies
- Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic business priorities
- Broad understanding of various HR Delivery Models
- Ability to analyze data and synthesize research for strategic recommendations
- Ability to influence stakeholders, clients, and candidates.
