About the position

The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at Veolia North America is responsible for leading recruitment efforts across assigned business areas. This role involves managing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent, and building a strong talent pipeline to support the company's growth objectives. The Senior Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to develop effective recruitment strategies and implement best practices in talent acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, including managing the regional TA team, contractors & RPO support staff members.
  • Drive performance and results and continuous improvement in recruitment processes through data, metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives within the assigned region.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HRBPs to understand their talent needs and provide strategic guidance on sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of talent acquisition professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their continuous growth and development.
  • Stay updated on the latest recruitment trends, tools, and technologies, and implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition process.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values accountability, integrity, respect, diversity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, provide regular coaching and feedback.
  • Implement strategies to enhance productivity and quality of work.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Evaluate and streamline the recruitment process to enhance efficiency, improve candidate experience, and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent, including leveraging social media, job boards, professional networks, and other relevant platforms.
  • Participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment-related activities to promote the company's employer brand and attract potential candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other applicable field
  • 8 -10 years of corporate recruiting experience and 5 years managing a team, ideally having also experience in recruitment activities in North America.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and overseeing the work of a Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) vendor.
  • Proficient in French is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing RPO projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proven experience as a Lead, Talent Acquisition Manager or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition best practices, recruitment strategies, and sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle and experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve targets and deliver high-quality results.
  • Proficient in using recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS) to streamline processes and enhance candidate experience.
  • Results-driven mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all recruitment activities.
