About the position

The Sr. Manager of Technical Accounting and Compliance at SCIEX is responsible for overseeing global accounting personnel on complex accounting issues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role supports the financial reporting process and requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, asset impairment analysis, and inventory accounting.
• Research and interpret accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) to ensure accurate application and compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with Danaher accounting policy and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure timely submission of internal controls testing requirements and address control exceptions.
• Support the SCIEX global consolidation and financial reporting process to Danaher.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during the annual audit process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 9+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a Doctoral degree with 4+ years of experience.
• CPA certification required, preferably with experience in a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
