As a key member of our Corporate Accounting team, the Senior Manager will play an integral part in the collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data. This role is crucial for ensuring that business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The Senior Manager will be responsible for various aspects of technical accounting, including derivative accounting, pension and post-retirement benefits, stock-based compensation, goodwill and intangibles, debt and equity transactions, and business combinations, as applicable. Additionally, the role involves managing commitments and contingencies, performing research and analysis on a range of accounting issues, and interacting with Crown's global division accounting and functional teams. The Senior Manager will also monitor US GAAP and SEC developments, assisting with the company-wide implementation of new accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements. A significant part of the role includes developing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with internal controls related to global accounting policies and new accounting and reporting guidance issued by the FASB and the SEC. In terms of corporate accounting responsibilities, the Senior Manager will oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, which include managing corporate legal entities, analyzing results against forecasts and budgets, and ensuring global consolidation and SOX compliance. The role also involves assisting in the preparation and review of external reporting, including quarterly earnings news releases, quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) filing requirements, and other SEC filings as necessary, including those related to financing transactions. The Senior Manager will continuously strive to enhance and streamline reporting processes and controls. As a business partner, the Senior Manager will provide support and accounting advice across the Crown global business and to senior leadership for other key strategic projects as needed. Furthermore, the Senior Manager will serve as one of the primary points of contact for internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits of financial statements and internal controls.
