About the position

The Technical Sales Operations Senior Manager at Yahoo will lead a team responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of direct premium sales across display and video advertising. This role is crucial for optimizing monetization through effective inventory packaging, forecasting, and ensuring the accurate delivery of campaigns. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance sales strategies and improve processes, ultimately driving predictable revenue for Yahoo's properties.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to oversee technical and operational aspects of direct premium sales.
  • Optimize monetization through packaging strategy, campaign pre-sale, forecasting, and technical solutions.
  • Manage inventory packaging, forecasting, and processes to create and maintain ad packages.
  • Ensure accurate delivery of direct sold campaigns and optimal monetization through campaign types and booking processes.
  • Drive reporting and process improvements in support of publisher changes and ensure action on identified issues.
  • Support publisher and sales requests for new and existing capabilities based on expertise.
  • Act as an operations administrator to align order management systems with sales strategies.
  • Drive process improvements through input on system functionality and cross-functional processes.
  • Execute sales strategy across all platforms and formats.
  • Provide guidance on troubleshooting and conflict resolution to internal partners.
  • Manage a team of individual contributors to support set goals.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of ad operations, business analyst, or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience leading teams in the digital advertising space.
  • Experience with Google Ad Manager, header bidding, direct and programmatic advertising.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate customer business needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills across boundaries to drive business forward.
  • Strong customer focus promoting satisfaction, resolution, and loyalty.
  • Deep understanding of the digital marketplace and competitive landscape.
