About the position

The Senior Manager of Telecom Generator Sales at Rehlko is responsible for managing the sales and servicing of industrial product generator sets, transfer switches, switchgear, and accessories within the telecommunications and edge data center sectors. This multifaceted role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and technical collaboration, with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding market share across North America. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide a sales team and ensure effective engagement with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share for the AMER Telecom/Edge team.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the data center and energy sectors.
  • Coach and mentor direct sales associates and account managers in customer meetings and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within and outside the organization.
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to evaluate sales opportunities and manage customer specifications.
  • Ensure the proposals team effectively utilizes current tools to provide accurate customer quotations.
  • Guide sales teams on best practices for client engagement and closing orders.
  • Develop partnerships to support customer acquisition and create a sustainable opportunity funnel.
  • Manage and oversee contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 10-15 years of proven success in quoting complex on-site power systems.
  • 10-15 years of experience managing and growing a team of sales managers.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the telecommunications or edge data center sectors.
  • Familiarity with power generation equipment and related technical topics.
