About the position

The Senior Manager of Telecom Generator Sales at Rehlko is responsible for managing the sales and servicing of industrial generator sets and related products within the telecommunications and edge data center sectors. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and technical collaboration, with a focus on achieving sales targets and expanding market share across North America. The position requires leading a sales team, engaging with key accounts, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with engineering and construction teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the data center and energy sectors.
  • Coach and mentor sales associates and account managers in client interactions and negotiations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within and outside the organization.
  • Evaluate sales opportunities and manage customer specifications in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ensure effective proposal development and accurate customer quotations.
  • Provide direction on best practices for client engagement and order closing.
  • Develop partnerships to support customer acquisition and opportunity funnel development.
  • Contribute insights to industry publications and build credibility in the sector.
  • Manage contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and create reporting aligned with team performance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and timely responses to client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 10-15 years of proven success in quoting complex on-site power systems.
  • 10-15 years of experience managing and growing a team of sales managers.
  • Strong financial acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the telecommunications or edge data center industries.
  • Familiarity with power generation equipment and technologies.
