About the position

The Sr. Manager, Total Rewards & HR Operations is responsible for overseeing the development and administration of global compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enhancing the employee experience. This role combines expertise in total rewards with HR operations, focusing on compliance, process improvement, and effective communication of HR policies and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation, and administration of global compensation and benefit programs.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation practices and benefit offerings, recommending cost-effective changes.
  • Support and maintain compensation structures to ensure competitiveness with market trends.
  • Administer the annual compensation planning process, including merit, bonus, and equity plan administration.
  • Suggest creative solutions for compensation and benefit programs and evaluate benefit plans annually.
  • Manage the open enrollment process, coordinating with vendors for effective employee education and communication.
  • Leverage technology to oversee interface file feeds, ensuring accurate employee information transfer.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and manage the 401(k) plan.
  • Support the Family Medical Leave process, ensuring compliance and effective communication.
  • Develop benefit policies, including tuition reimbursement and PTO policies.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys and monitor salary survey data for corporate compensation objectives.
  • Prepare and present employee education on benefits programs, including insurance plans and 401(k).
  • Ensure compliance with compensation and benefit laws and regulations, including audits and filings.
  • Provide project leadership in implementing new HR processes and policies.
  • Develop the AI in HR strategy to enhance employee and customer experience.
  • Revise HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment laws and core values.
  • Champion change management for HR systems and processes.
  • Manage HR metrics and reporting, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Total Rewards, specifically in compensation and benefits roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals or Medical Device sectors.
  • US benefit and compensation expertise required; OUS experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of benefit and leave laws throughout the United States.
  • Experience with change initiatives and process improvement.
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Experience with AON Radford and salary grade structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design, implement, and administer health benefits and retirement plans.

  • Certification in HR or related fields.
