About the position

The Senior Manager of Transmission Community Partnerships at Invenergy will lead community benefits planning and partnership development and management for Invenergy's portfolio of transmission projects. This role is crucial in delivering on Invenergy's commitments to economic justice and good company citizenship, ensuring that the benefits of the clean energy transition are shared broadly. The Senior Manager will work closely with both external and internal stakeholders to establish, implement, and monitor Community Benefits Plans, community benefits agreements, and other initiatives for development-stage transmission projects. This position aims to ensure that the economic investments and resources deployed for large-scale infrastructure projects serve the interests of the projects while responding to the needs and priorities of various stakeholders, including tribes, local communities, and project workforces. The responsibilities include establishing a consistent, programmatic approach across Invenergy's transmission projects to community benefits planning, implementation, and monitoring, guided by the Department of Energy (DOE) Community Benefits Plan (CBP) framework. For each project in the portfolio, the Senior Manager will implement a comprehensive community benefits approach, engaging stakeholders to identify CBP priorities, leading the drafting of actionable and measurable community benefits plans, and facilitating resource planning to ensure commitments are met throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves engaging with third parties in the development and monitoring of community benefits plans, ensuring that substantial and equitable shares of project investments flow to disadvantaged communities, and serving as the lead internal subject matter expert on compliance documentation and reporting. Additionally, the Senior Manager will support the structuring of the Clean Path New York community investment fund, cultivate effective relationships with community partners and stakeholders, and identify opportunities for the HVDC transmission project portfolio to support community and workforce development goals. Representing Invenergy at meetings and events with external stakeholders, the Senior Manager will act as a company spokesperson, advocating for the interests of the company and its community partners.
