About the position

The Global Visual + Experiential Senior Designer at Kendo will oversee the creative vision for all in-real-life (IRL) spaces across Kendo's brands. This role focuses on translating strategies and campaigns into compelling 3D storytelling, enhancing consumer experiences through innovative design and merchandising. The designer will work closely with various teams to ensure that the brand's identity and business objectives are met through exceptional retail and experiential initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design visually compelling in-store displays to maximize product visibility and enhance consumer experience.
• Introduce innovative design concepts for in-store displays, windows, and new fixture launches that align with campaign concepts.
• Develop new fixtures for product launches and re-imagine pop-up and experiential spaces as needed.
• Participate in the research and selection of materials and fixtures to enhance product displays.
• Establish innovative relationships with vendors and stay informed about competitive displays.
• Collaborate with brand teams to ensure strong briefs for product launches and vendor partnerships.
• Partner with the creative team to ensure fixture design aligns with overall concept design.
• Collaborate with retailer partners and field teams to understand best practices in fixture design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Visual Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7-9 years of design experience, including 4+ years as a Store Design or Visual Merchandising Designer in the beauty or retail industry.
• Strong understanding of beauty industry trends and consumer behavior.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, leadership, and innovation skills.
• Creative thinking with the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing displays.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in vendor management and procurement processes.
