About the position

The position involves coordinating and participating in capital planning at both site and regional levels, focusing on writing appropriations requests for plant projects and expansions. The role also includes developing and implementing a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system in a manufacturing setting, leading 6S events, and planning continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute the observation, documentation or simulation of manufacturing processes
  • Understand data interactions with other departments and systems; update capacity and scheduling areas of SAP
  • Determine and implement SAP capacity schemes for manufacturing locations
  • Process engineering changes for manufacturing drawings, routers, programs, and work instructions

Requirements

  • 4 year degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial or Manufacturing
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience required
  • Strong background in Lean Six Sigma, preferably Black Belt level training
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to express manufacturing concepts conversationally in meetings, face to face, over the phone and in email
  • Ability to work with people on a manufacturing floor in a productive, non-combative nature
  • Can plan and manage projects with manufacturing engineers, other internal departments, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to meet deadlines
