About the position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the engineering and development of new products, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective. This role involves planning and designing process improvements, coordinating the transition from design to production, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design process development/improvements and tools.
• Act as the prime interface into the Product Development process, ensuring that the requirements of the facility (e.g. processes, equipment, and software) are delivered.
• Coordinate the changeover of tools/processes from design to production.
• Analyze problems, account for variances, drive to root cause and implement improvement methods and procedures.
• Document standard work.
• Communicate and coordinate with customers on the development of new products.
• Develop fixtures, gages and tooling.
• Create, review, and update improvement plans.
• Research and develop new processes.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Working experience with CAD systems.
• Familiarity with root cause and corrective action.
• Familiarity with metrology.
• Familiarity with SPC.
• Working experience with Microsoft Office and the Internet.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and practice.
• Due to ITAR requirements, all candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
