About the position

The Senior Manufacturing Financial Analyst will support the Redwood City, CA manufacturing plant by providing proactive financial analysis and reporting. This role involves preparing month-end closing entries, conducting variance analysis, managing annual budgets and forecasts, and maintaining inventory analysis. The analyst will also ensure compliance with audit and tax requirements, contributing to the overall efficiency and best practices within the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and communicate proactive analysis to support plant initiatives.
  • Engage in bringing best practices and efficiencies to the plant.
  • Prepare month-end closing entries and plant performance reports.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis of plant spend vs. last year, vs. budget, and vs. forecast.
  • Conduct annual standard cost roll and related analytics.
  • Prepare annual budget and forecasts for operations.
  • Maintain inventory analysis and reconciliation, cycle count, and excess & obsolete inventory process for the plant.
  • Provide information requested by Audit and Tax department to ensure adherence to policy or meet target.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with journal entries and cost accounting.
  • Experience in SAP (or related ERP) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled problem solver with a strong team-oriented approach.
