About the position
The Senior Manufacturing/Production Operator is responsible for performing complex manufacturing tasks in a defense contracting environment. This role requires an active DOD Secret Clearance and involves working on electronic and mechanical assemblies, interpreting schematics, and executing various assembly operations. The operator will integrate sub-assemblies into final hardware, conduct basic electrical tests, and perform rework and refurbishment of systems. The position emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to professional development.
Responsibilities
- Perform project tasks and assignments of a complex nature in production assembly operations.
- Read and interpret basic schematics and drawings.
- Follow methods, techniques, and sequence of operations for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
- Integrate sub-assemblies into final hardware and perform final assembly of small systems.
- Conduct basic electrical tests and perform complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production.
- Active DOD Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
- Clear knowledge of polarity and inspection criteria, Bills of Material (BOM), and work order tracking management systems.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and math, along with solid communication skills.
