About the position

The Senior Manufacturing Security Engineer at AbbVie is responsible for conceiving, designing, engineering, and implementing innovative data, software, and technology solutions to address significant scientific and business challenges. This role involves investigating and integrating state-of-the-art technology platforms to enhance productivity and efficiency across various business areas, while also acting as a lead engineer in their area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, engineer, and implement software and technology solutions by studying information needs and conferring with users.
• Investigate problem areas and demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles using technical expertise.
• Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to software design, programming languages, data integration, and cloud environments.
• Utilize knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business to advance agile and cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders through verbal and written means.
• Mature and leverage relationships with affiliates, vendors, and industry peers to further organizational goals.
• Mentor and supervise a team, guiding and evaluating their performance.
• Adhere to corporate standards regarding policies, safety, compliance, and the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience; Master's Degree with 6 years; or PhD with 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of the discipline.
• Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
