About the position

The Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for the development and lifecycle management of Manufacturing Systems and data at the Warsaw, IN site. This role involves collaborating with various teams to define, implement, and sustain the manufacturing systems and data roadmap, ensuring compliance with global standards and achieving operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational aspects of manufacturing systems including goals, budget, workflow, performance, system uptime, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with partners to understand customer problems and build the manufacturing system's roadmap and investment plan.
  • Provide leadership for site MS projects, ensuring resources and processes are in place for timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Ensure all manufacturing systems are designed and run to meet business and standards requirements in a compliant manner.
  • Work with the MS Global Standards team to identify and evaluate new technologies and processes for manufacturing systems.
  • Support or lead investigations and regulatory inspections related to manufacturing systems.
  • Manage MS related vendor contracts and resources.
  • Plan and manage support for systems outside of business hours.
  • Provide user training for manufacturing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or Science.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment.
  • Project Management Certification or 2 years of project management experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems requirements, design, deployment, and support.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and methodologies (ISA 88/95, GAMP).
  • Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves

  • J&J certifications or alternatives - Drive (Digital), PMP, FPX, LEAN, or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of MedTech processes.
  • Experience with SDLC methodology and DevOps.
  • Manufacturing experience within Operations, LEAN, or Production.
  • Experience working in global teams with remote support.
