About the position

The Senior Market Research Analyst at CDK Global is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data related to the North American Automotive and Heavy Truck Retail industry. This role requires a deep understanding of dealership operations, organizational structures, and the technologies that support them. The analyst will conduct both secondary and primary research to identify opportunities and competitive threats, providing insights that inform the company's strategic initiatives and product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and analyzing data on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to create forecasts and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Interviewing internal stakeholders to define research needs.
  • Conducting interviews with CDK's customers, vehicle shoppers, or service customers.
  • Designing, coding, launching surveys, and writing interview guides.
  • Collaborating with the Research and Insights team and other groups to analyze data using statistical techniques and analytics software.
  • Interpreting findings to inform decision makers on strategies, competitive threats, and targeted marketing tactics.
  • Creating tables, graphs, reports, and presentations to present findings to senior managers.
  • Assessing the impact and performance of the company's strategic initiatives and identifying risks and solutions.
  • Developing and refining processes for data collection, analysis, and presentation approaches.
  • Building and managing project pages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in market research, statistics, economics, math, business/marketing analytics, or computer science; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a market researcher or customer experience researcher.
  • Advanced skills in mathematics and statistics for data analysis and model development.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in visual imagery to tell compelling narratives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Experience with research, data analytics, modeling, and predictive analytics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of survey platforms like Qualtrics, Medallia, or Alchemer.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for data collection and analysis challenges.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
