About the position

The Senior Marketing and Communications Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the Milwaukee office by leading marketing initiatives, managing a team, and collaborating with various stakeholders to create impactful marketing content. This position requires strong executive communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with work acquisition leaders to establish content calendars, set goals, and deadlines.
  • Produce a variety of marketing content including stories, posts, emails, and presentations.
  • Create and develop differentiated communication tools such as infographics and customer presentations.
  • Oversee the proposal and content creation processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables are produced on time.
  • Facilitate meetings with various teams to develop proposals that meet target audience requirements.
  • Act as the principal editor on all proposals and implement a structured review process.
  • Guide the team in refining strategies for the proposal process and content best practices.
  • Develop and implement the marketing strategy and plan, measuring results and making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage the career development of two team members and ensure balanced workloads.
  • Optimize the marketing budget and leverage resources to achieve business development objectives.
  • Generate insights for thought leadership and brand building strategies.
  • Deliver content across various mediums and formats to drive action.
  • Collaborate with customer marketing teams on project-level marketing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies, Technical & Scientific Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in business development, marketing, B2B writing, content marketing or sales enablement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing content for business-to-business audiences.
  • Experience managing team performance and career progression.
  • Strong ability to create PowerPoint messages and visuals.
  • Agility to lead a fast-paced team and manage multiple assignments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a professional services industry (versus product companies).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with a good understanding of graphic layout and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience in Salesforce.com, OneNote.
  • Experience with best practices in writing for digital mediums.
