CDM Smith is seeking a creative writing professional to join our Industrial Unit marketing team. This role is pivotal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy leading the development of compelling written storylines for proposals and presentations. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who can bring ideas to life, engaging clients and effectively conveying the unique features of our approach and technical solutions. Candidates should possess a portfolio that showcases innovative written content that adheres to client RFPs while resonating with the target audience. As a member of the CDM Smith team, you will contribute to our mission by planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing strategies for marketing and business development efforts across key service areas, including clean energy, environment, facilities, and water. Your responsibilities will include developing, writing, editing, and proofreading complex content for proposals, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and related marketing materials tailored for our industrial/private-sector clients. You will apply creativity and strategic insight while leading brainstorming and storyboarding sessions, utilizing a theme-based approach for proposal and presentation development. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating information in the firmwide database of resumes, project descriptions, proposals, and qualification packages, as well as coordinating general client marketing efforts, including conferences, social media posts, webinars, and other activities. Being actively involved in the CDM Smith marketing discipline group by participating in task forces and committees will also be part of your role. You will have opportunities to develop your business development, marketing, facilitation, and writing skills through internal and external training sources and association memberships. This position offers hybrid work options, allowing you to work from one of our many offices across the United States or remotely, depending on your location and preference.
