About the position

The Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist at CDM Smith plays a crucial role in developing and managing marketing content and strategies for transportation clients. This position involves creating and editing proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials, while also coordinating business development efforts nationwide. The specialist will utilize creativity and strategic insight to lead brainstorming sessions and ensure that all marketing information is current and effectively presented.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and proofread content for proposals, presentations, resumes, and project descriptions for transportation clients.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and implement marketing and business development strategies nationwide.
• Lead brainstorming, storyboarding, and strategy development sessions with a creative approach.
• Utilize a theme-based approach for proposal and presentation development.
• Update information in the firmwide database of resumes, project descriptions, proposals, and qualification packages.
• Maintain and ensure that marketing and visual presentation information and files are up to date.
• Participate in the CDM Smith marketing discipline group by engaging in task forces and committees.
• Develop business development, marketing, facilitation, and writing skills through training and association involvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6 years of related experience in marketing and proposal development.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

• B.A. or B.S. in Communications, English, Business, Journalism, or a related degree.
• Prior experience in an architectural or engineering firm, particularly in the transportation industry.
• Proficient in MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SharePoint applications; advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience in editing/proofreading technical narratives.
• Practical experience in facilitating strategy and proposal development sessions.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
