About the position

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist at GHD is a pivotal role that combines technology and creativity to optimize B2B marketing campaigns. This position focuses on managing advanced marketing platforms, enhancing campaign performance, and ensuring data integrity to drive business growth. The specialist will collaborate with marketing teams to implement innovative strategies and utilize the MarTech ecosystem effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing automation initiatives to drive demand generation and growth using the MarTech ecosystem and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Create and improve campaigns, engagement studio nurtures, and automations to enhance personas, lead scoring/grading rules, and audience engagement programs.
  • Define and continually improve list segmentation options and rules for effective audience targeting.
  • Help define, set up, and administer systems and governance processes for successful marketing use of Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Personalization, and Advertising, as well as integrations with Salesforce and other tools.
  • Partner with marketing and IS teams to drive results, resolve marketing issues, and support critical business initiatives.
  • Test and manage consent management rules, related lists, and ongoing compliance.
  • Administer email and audience management, including over and under-targeting rules, tag governance, folder structure, custom objects, ongoing clean-up, and campaign naming conventions.
  • Work with Brand and Digital marketing on the creation and adoption of best practice templates to capture more contacts and encourage subscribers through the Preference center.
  • Scope out new requirements for systems, integrations, and process changes that will improve marketing's effectiveness. Test and rollout new changes to marketing.
  • Lead and/or contribute to projects related to optimization of the MarTech stack, use of A.I., and future innovations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years direct experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement required, especially in audience segmentation.
  • Certification in Account Engagement and Salesforce preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience across personalization platforms (e.g., Adobe Target, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization).
  • Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, PowerBI).
  • Familiarity with adtech platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising Studio).
  • Knowledge of AI technologies and integration tools such as Zapier.
  • Experience with marketing automation and engagement platforms such as Eloqua, Marketo, On24.
  • Strong empathy and cultural awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across global timezones and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Diligent, flexible, resourceful, independent worker with a strong work ethic.
  • Driven to learn and stay updated on the latest industry news and best practices in MarTech and AI capabilities.
